Beehive Industries Completes Initial Ground Testing of the 100 lbf Frenzy 6
The additively enabled 100 lbf Frenzy 6 turbojet met initial starting, performance, and operability test objectives four months after requirements were finalized.

Beehive Industries has completed initial ground testing of its 100 lbf, approximately 445 N, Frenzy 6 small-turbojet prototype. The engine first fired at the company's Colorado facility on September 23, 2026, four months after requirements were finalized with its U.S. Air Force customer.
According to the company, the test met initial objectives for starting reliability, engine performance, and operability. Frenzy 6 applies design and testing lessons from the 200 lbf Frenzy 8 and targets drones, uncrewed aircraft, and smaller munitions.
This is a company press release about a prototype ground test, not an independent performance test or flight demonstration. The announcement does not specify which engine parts are additively manufactured or the exact AM process. Vehicle integration and a 2027 flight demonstration remain future plans.
Key facts
- Rated thrust is 100 lbf, about 445 N
- First firing occurred on September 23, 2026
- Testing followed four months after requirements were finalized
Context
The program is an example of using AM-enabled iteration to shorten the path from propulsion requirements to prototype testing.
