3DMakerpro Launches Owl Stationary LiDAR Scanner
3DMakerpro has launched the Owl LiDAR scanner for architectural and interior capture. It is rated at 192,000 points per second, a 360° by 280° field of view, and 5 mm ranging accuracy at 10 m, but independent real-world accuracy data are not yet available.

3D Printing Industry reported on November 3, 2026, that 3DMakerpro had launched its Owl stationary LiDAR 3D scanner. Owl Standard and Premium use three 48 MP cameras for tripod-based capture, while Owl Max Premium adds two cameras, handheld mode, and binocular visual tracking.
Manufacturer specifications list 192,000 points per second, a 360° horizontal by 280° vertical field of view, a 0.5–60 m scan radius at 20% reflectivity, and 5 mm stationary ranging accuracy at 10 m. The system uses a 905 nm Class 1 laser, a 12,000 mAh battery, weighs 1.6 kg, measures 199 × 139 × 100 mm, and exports PLY, E57, OBJ, and PNG files.
Launch pricing beginning November 3 starts at $1,499 for Standard, $1,699 for Premium, and $2,499 for Max Premium. The 5 mm figure is a stationary ranging specification, not whole-room or drawing accuracy; results also depend on capture, registration, and editing. Accuracy, tracking stability, and performance on glass or low-reflectivity surfaces have not yet been independently tested.
Key facts
- Owl is rated at 192,000 points per second with a 360° by 280° field of view.
- Stationary ranging accuracy is specified at 5 mm at 10 m, with a 0.5–60 m scan radius at 20% reflectivity.
- Only Owl Max Premium adds handheld mode and binocular visual tracking.
- Real-world accuracy and material-specific performance have not been independently verified.
Context
Owl targets a price tier below professional terrestrial scanners, but adoption for building measurement will require validation of whole-project accuracy, registration, and surface-dependent performance.
