Xenia introduces flexible PEBA filament with 15% chopped carbon fiber
Xenia Materials has introduced XECARB PEBA-CF, a 1.75 mm FFF/FDM filament combining a PEBA matrix with 15% chopped carbon fiber, for Formnext 2026.

Xenia Materials of Italy says XECARB PEBA-CF combines an elastic polyether block amide matrix with 15% chopped carbon fiber. The manufacturer lists a density of 1.08 g/cm³, a heat-deflection temperature of 105°C and a 1.75 mm filament diameter.
Xenia positions the material for industrial, aerospace, robotics and drone parts, pairing PEBA’s impact resistance and elastic recovery with added stiffness from carbon fiber. Those application and performance statements are manufacturer claims; the source article does not present independent comparative testing.
Key facts
- PEBA matrix with 15% chopped carbon fiber
- Manufacturer-listed density is 1.08 g/cm³ and HDT is 105°C
- Filament diameter is 1.75 mm
Context
The material design could broaden options for functional parts that need both deformation recovery and structural support under impact.
