The Prague Fire Rescue Service's central station is piloting a Prusa CORE One L to make radio mounts, tool brackets, door wedges, elevator keys, and dry-suit test plugs on site. The station handles up to 2,500 dispatches a year.

Sixty-seven firefighters work across three 24-hour shifts, with one trained operator on each shift. Parts are evaluated before field use, and some were exposed to high heat and direct flame in a Flashover Container, according to the case study.

The reported 90–95% cost savings and cybersecurity benefits are claims in a Prusa/customer case study, not an independent audit. The printer is operated offline via USB or a local connection.

Key facts

  • The central station handles up to 2,500 dispatches annually
  • 67 firefighters work in three shifts with one trained operator per shift
