HP and Hyperion Materials & Technologies have signed a preferred-partner agreement for tungsten carbide parts. Hyperion installed an HP Metal Jet S100 at its Barcelona site in October 2026 and is offering prototyping and commercial production.

HP supplies the binder-jet platform, while Hyperion provides CarbiForm powder, sintering, and finishing. CarbiForm has been tested with Metal Jet and Hyperion's own sintering route; the companies now plan to qualify applications with customers.

No third-party performance data, named customers, or production volumes were disclosed. Claims about complex geometry and material efficiency come from the partners' announcement.
